Make sure that the power is disconnected before doing any work on a c19 plug or connectors to avoid electric shock. You will first remove the faceplate from the body. Loosen the screws so you can thread the cable between the strain relief that you have just loosened. Then you strip the part of the cord that is through the plug. That will leave about 1.5 inches of cord exposed.
The ground should be cut to just one inch. Strip all the wires to an eighth of an inch to connect them to the wire wells. Once everything is in place, you can re-tighten the faceplate. You can slide the faceplate into the body housing that will line up perfectly. Don’t forget to tighten your screws and strain relief to finish the job.
The same steps can be followed to wire connectors and c15 plugs. Watch this video to follow along as an installation is demonstrated.
