The Comfort and Safety of Todays Hospital Beds

Having reliable equipment within hospitals matters. The Youtube channel, Stryker, demonstrates a revolutionary new hospital bed, the SV2, for today’s medical industry.

With foldable side rails that are also separately operable, patients will remain secure on the bed for the entire duration of their stay. To help reduce sacral pressure and increase patient comfort, the bed is designed with a double regression system for both the back and knees. The addition of a Stryker mattress also helps reduce discomfort.

To prevent falls, a smart egress feature brings the bed down to the lowest possible height with the push of a button.

LED indicator lights let the operator know when the bed is all the way down. Manual CPR handles are also installed should an emergency arise.

Having an ergonomic design, 250kg in weight, brake pedals for each corner, each stryker bed has a 10-year life expectancy. Each model has been tested for maximum safety.

The stryker bed also includes “always-on” lighting underneath each bed to provide the patient sight during nighttime hours. Some other features include a fifth wheel, an x-ray translucent backrest, and a bed extender. Each bed is compatible with 4th EMC (Electromagnetic compatibility) requirements.
